ok i'm in a better mood today to blog about my taiwan trip .. so here goes ..
First of all , Taiwan is so beautiful .. Taiwan has all the mountains and rivers and lakes and oceans that we cannot see here in Sg..
Day 1 when we arrived at the airport and greeted by our tour guide Gary, we left for 渔人码头straight away. Weather in Taipei on day 1 was about 18 deg .. Cool with the wind blowing. After 渔人码头 we went 淡水老街for some snacks.. There's this famous food called 阿给there but sadly i didn't get to try it cos i was in a very bad mood when i reached there due to my stupid shoe and i had to hunt for new shoes at the market there, thus filling me half up. But, after finding my new boots, mood instantly changed!! =) Darling went to buy 臭豆腐 and mind u, it was really very very smelly !! Darling love it anyways .. I bought an ice-cream for myself, and to those who had been to Taiwan, the ice-cream should look familiar to u . After all the shopping at the night market, we set off to The Taipei 101. It's a pity we didn't took the lift up to 101 cos we thought it's a bit waste of money . So end up we went walking around the shops near 101. Not much though, all branded and ex stuff . Walk walk shop shop and off to hotel !!
Day 2 not much fun stuff cos it's more of a cultural day. We went to see changing ceremony of the army in taiwan, Then to 九份 for some snacks. Must try the 芋圆 there cos it's SUPERB !! Off we go to the art museum of 宜兰. Just some sight seeing there. And then we went for train rides to 花莲. Mind u, it's the old traditional kind of Tuu-tuu trains. Minus the tuu-tuu of cos =) In the night, we went to put some 烟火at 南滨夜市. We accidentally 'bomb' someone cos we are really not that familiar with how the stuff works and it flew off in the other direction when lit. Thus 'bombing' the girl there. Luckily she wasn't hurt and she was even smiling at us telling us it's ok and all. So good ah Taiwan people. Walk walk shop shop and off to hotel !!
Day 3 in the morning and afternoon were more sight seeings. Gary brought us to pick up jade by a beach called 七星潭. Starting to get warm there as we were travelling south. After lunch and a 4 hours of bus ride, we were awaken at 台东's温泉度假屋hot spring resort) .Night activities were birthday celebration by Gary and the rest of the tour mates. Coincidentally, there's this girl in the tour whose bday falls one day after me. So Gary bought a cake and sang birthday songs for both of us . SO sweet and unforgettable bday . Thank u darling for bringing me there =)
Day 4 was a bad day . All was fine in the day. We were supposed to be heading for 梦时代shopping centre in 高雄 in the evening when i started to feel abit of a stomache. When we reach the mall, i rushed to the toilet and came out unsatisfied. I feel very bloated and pain in the stomach. Only manage to take only a few pics there . what a shame . we were then going to the night market with lots of shopping to do and guess what ?? The food in my stomach decided to come out then and there wasn't any toilets around !! So what happen ?? i rushed to a back alley and vomitted 21 yrs of food there .. Vomits and more vomits . Yuck !! I hate tha feeling . I feel so loved by darling. He was there for me whenever i finish a round of vomit. Wipe my mouth, clean my foot as the vomit stained my legs cos i was standing(imagine the impact of the vomit touching the floor then to my legs.really ALOT of vomit).Reached hotel and had diarreoa non-stop. A case of food poisoning there at Taiwan !! Darling went down to get me anti vomit pills, and when i told him i'm no longer vomitting but diarreoa-ing , he rushed down to get me the anti diarreoa pills and some food to go along with it. Oh darling, thank u for taking care of me ..
Day 5 was amusement park day. FUN
Day 6 we took bullet train (nothing special i think) back to Taipei and SHOPPING at night !!
Day 7 we say bye bye to our tour guide and mates and off we go to check in to our hotel at Taipei. Pissed cos the receptionist says that we didn't confirm our bookings with them thus they didn't book us a room !! Intro us to another hotel in the alley and DAMN, that hotel is soo , soo ,soo disgusting i'll never go there again . Luckily it's only for a night. SLEPT with tv on .
Day 8 went back to the hotel ChangHong early in the morning to check in our luggage and off to shopping !!
For the rest of the taipei trip, we went to Miramar shopping mall for the ferris wheel, we took a transparent cabin and views from there were beautiful. Not to mention the height though. Soo high up in the air. Shilin market was also often frequent by me. Not much summer stuffs so bought mainly long sleeves shirts. We met with 寒流as well and the temperature got as low as 12 deg !! We were freezing man . We only wore one long sleeve and a jacket , and it's still not enough to get warm . Imagine that !
All was well and fun and before we got into the plane heading for Singapore, i told Darling , we must come here again . And, he smiled . =)
